Nakusp is central to 230 km of lakes from Revelstoke to Castlegar, surrounded by big water, big mountains and big smiles for visitors.

In summer, travellers are drawn to the 9-hole golf course, hiking trails, and good fishing in the many streams and lakes. In winter, heli-skiing and the Summit Lake Ski Area provide excellent skiing for the beginners and experts alike. Cross country ski trails provide a pleasant diversion.

Nakusp Hot Springs invites visitors to take in their soothing waters. Chalets and campsites make this a cozy mountain retreat all year long.

Population: 1,762

Access: Nakusp is located 47 km. (29 miles) north of New Denver on Highway 6. Nakusp Airport is located 3km north of town.

Recreation Facilities & Activities: fishing, swimming, golf course, hiking, cross country, helicopter & downhill skiing, hot springs, boating.

Local Attractions: Nakusp Hot Springs, Nakusp Museum, Nakusp Centennial Golf Course, Japanese Garden and Waterfront Walk, Bonnington Arts Centre.
