The lake is surrounded by flat to gently rolling hills giving way
to completely forested mountains in the west. The area is almost
covered with conifers except for a limited amount of deciduous growth
around the shoreline.
Although flat at the shoreline there are often steep drop offs.
The shoreline is covered with a few bushes and grassy areas. The
shallow waters contain mostly gravel with patches of larger boulders.
