From
Wells Gray in the east to Lillooet in the south, the Cariboo
Chilcotin Coast incorporates all the land to the Pacific Ocean.
Vegetation in the Eastern section includes spruce and fir. West
towards the Fraser River are the Cariboo's larger communities. The
Chilcotin region, between the Fraser River and the Coast Mountains,
has some of the world's largest cattle ranches and much of B.C.'s
best fresh water fishing. Over the stunning Coast Mountains, onto
the central coast, deep fjords cut inland to small fishing settlements
in the coastal rain forests. Fishermen venture here from far and
wide to enjoy unparalleled saltwater fishing. A wide variety of
accommodations
are available in this natural paradise.
