Location: From Kamloops
take the Trans Canada (hwy# l) west for 75kms (46.5 miles) to the
community of Cache Creek. Turn north (right) onto hwy 97 and travel
through Clinton
and turn west (left) on Meadow Lake road located 52.8 kms (32.7
miles) north of Cache
Creek. At l8.6 kms (ll.5 miles) turn left at the 4way intersection.
Travel south on this unnamed road for 9.l kms (5.6 miles) and turn
right. Travel west passing the Big Bar Lake provincial campsite
and at l6 kms (9.9 miles) turn right and travel north for 2.2 kms
(l.4 miles) to the Little Big Bar lake forest service campsite on
the south side of the lake.
Resorts & Campsites:
No resorts. A BCFS campsite (6 vehicle sites with picnic tables,
outhouses and boat launching) is located on the south end of the
lake. Big Bar Lake which you pass to get to Little Big Bar has a
BC provincial park with many campsites available.

Fishing Report: Subject
to winterkill none the less Little Big Bar offers a fine fishery
for rainbow to 2lbs especially during spring and fall months. Be sure to visit Fishbc.com
for angling information!
Viewscape: Situated
on the Fraser Plateau. The north side of the lake is open grassland
which gives way to a forest of lodgepole
pine and douglas
fir. The west end consists of grass covered hills. A mixed forest
of lodgepole pine, engleman
spruce, douglas fir and alder make up the southside.
Shoreline: A 3 meter
(9.8 ft.) wide apron of sedge and common rush make up the entire
perimeter of the lake. Submerged and floating aquatic vegetation
extends out l00 m (328 ft.) on the west end and up to 200 m (656
ft) on the east end of the lake. Two-thirds of the south shore is
covered with aquatic vegetation. Lake bottom is made up of soft
organics and drops off slowly to a max depth of 4.6 m (l5 ft.).
Nearby Lakes
Big Bar Lake - Big Bar Lake,
229 ha (565 ac.) in size is located on the same road, just minutes
east of Little Big Bar. Camping and boat launching is available
at a B.C. provincial park campsite. The rainbows are bigger in
this lake and the action is good throughout the summer months.
Beaverdam, located 29 km ( l8 miles) north of Clinton is 84 ha
(208 ac) in size and offers a fine brook trout fishery. Boats
can be launched but there are no organized campsites.
