Fishing Report: Hatheume at present, is managed as a trout catch and release, barbless hook, fly-only lake. Recently rehabilitated, Hatheume is making a comeback and its future looks bright. Historically this lake was a fabulous fly fishing lake and there is no reason to think that it won't be great again. With a good spring Chironomid hatch and Caddisfly hatch in mid June to early July, the lake is great for the dry fly enthusiast. Rainbows are now being caught in the 2+ lb. range.
Be sure to visit Fishbc.com for angling information!

Nearby Lakes

Pinnacle Lake - Pinnacle Lake is a small lake, 10 ha. (25 ac.) in size, lying 1 km. (.6 mi.) south of Hatheume. This stocked lake supports a fair to good Rainbow fishery with trout ranging from 1 to 3 lbs. A small 5 vehicle BCFS campsite and cartop boat launching is available at the lake.

Ellen, Jackson, Peterson, Rock, and Rouse are some of the small lakes in the Hatheume-Pennask Lakes area, which offer the angler a variety of fishing experiences. Directions and up to date reports can be found by visiting the resort on Hatheume Lake.

Note: Always check your current BC Fishing regulations before you start fishing a new lake.
