Wildlife

This beautiful 33,000 hectare park is located 30 km southwest of the community of Keremeos in BC's Okanagan Similkameen region. Alpine meadows and jagged peaks fill the parks vast area.

The main attraction to this Cathedral Provincial Park is the spectacular Cathedral Lakes which include Quiniscoe, Ladyslipper, Scout, Pyramid, Glacier and Lake of the Woods. The Haystack Lakes are within a day's hike of the main lakes area.

Cathedral Provincial Park lies between the lush Cascade Mountains and the arid Okanagan Valley. An array of vegetation grows here including Douglas fir, aspen, cottonwood, lodgepole pine and wildflowers such as heather and lupine. The park is home to a wide array of wildlife including the mule deer, mountain goat, marmot and squirrels.
