Lake from Postill Lake Lodge Fishing Resort
Location:
Postill Lake is located in British Columbia's Okanagan Region about
45 minutes north east of the city of Kelowna. The turn off to Postill
Lake is located just between Kelowna
and Winfield on Hwy 97.
Turn
east off Hwy 97 at the north end of the Kelowna International Airport
runway, approx. 15 minutes north of city center. Follow the signs
for 4 km on a paved road. At the intersection of Farmers Drive,
take the gravel road directly ahead of you (DO NOT take Farmers
Drive ). You then follow a good gravel road for the remaining 15kms
to Postill Lake.

Lake
Info: Postill Lake is a small 90 ha lake at an elevation of
1375m. It discharges into Kelowna Creek at its northwest end and
is part of the Kelowna Creek Community Watershed. Kelowna Creek
supplies water for drinking and irrigation purposes. The mainstem
of Kelowna Creek flows through Postill Lake, one of three primary
reservoir lakes supplying water to Kelowna Creek.
Fishing
Report: Postill Lake Postill Lake is stocked with rainbow
trout and offers good catches fly fishing for Rainbow Trout and
Speckled Brook trout from 6 to 18 inches. The immediate area is
home to six excellent trout fly fishing lakes: Postill Lake, Twin
Lakes, Meadow Lake, South Lake, Roddy and Heron.

- 2 1/2 lbs. Fly fishing only.
Meadow
Lake: 1 1/2 miles from Postill Lake. Fish up to 4 lbs. Fly
fishing only.
Roddy
Lake: 1 mile from Postill Lake. Fish up to 1 1/2 lbs.
Heron
Lake: 2 1/2 miles from Postill Lake. Fish from 10 inches to
2 lbs. Exceptionally good fly fishing.
Twin
Lakes: Two adjoining lakes at an altitude of 5,500 ft. 3 miles
from Postill Lake. Fish up to 3 lbs. Postill Lake Lodge also operates
a log cabin equipped for 4 persons.
