Fishing Report: Yellowstone cutthroat trout are resident in this deep, cold alpine lake. Flycasting and spinfishing are the most popular methods used. Ant, beetle and fly patterns are used with great success as well as black spinners and wedding rings with maggots. Mid-July to mid-October are the best times of the year to visit Kokanee Lake.

Nearby Lakes

Gibson, Heather, Upper Joker, Helen Dean, Kaslo, Keen, Garland, Tanal and Sunset Lakes are all located in the park and provide good fishing to anyone willing to hike-in.

Note: Always check your current BC Fishing regulations before you start fishing a new lake.
