Location: Bare Lake is a fly-in lake located approximately 53 kms. (33 miles) northwest of Kamloops.

Resorts & Campsites: Bare Lake Resort is located on the lake and offers adventure holidays for up to 12 people at a time. Flights to the lake are arranged to several other lakes nearby.

Fishing Report: Bare Lake offers a very good rainbow fishery with trout in 1/2 lb. to 2 lb. range, however, the area is loaded with many lakes, the resort provides transportation to and from, offering a variety of fishing experiences including excellent dry fly fishing. Rainbows in some of these lakes often go to 7 lbs. A truly great wilderness adventure awaits you at Bare Lake.

Viewscape: Located on the Thompson Plateau, Bare Lake is surrounded by low rolling hills of lodgepole pine, spruce and fir. On the south side of the lake a 500 m. (1640 ft.) a true wilderness setting with moose and eagles can be seen at your doorstep.

Shoreline: A fairly shallow lake with many weed beds. The shoreline consists mainly of fines, cobbles, with marshy areas located on the southeast and west shores. The lake drops off slowly from the shoreline on all sides but the northwest, where a deep hole is located 50 m. (164 ft.) off the shore.
