Resorts & Campsites: No resorts, however, some good campsites are available nearby. Accommodations and services are available in the nearby village of Horsefly.

Fishing Report: The rainbow trout will go to seven pounds in Abbott Lake, but the average is closer to two pounds. Because of the great amount of feed in the lake, catch success isn't a sure thing, but well presented flies or trolling gear can be productive.

Be sure to visit Fishbc.com for angling information!

Viewscape: Hilly area covered with a mainly spruce/birch forest. 80% of the area is forested with the rest cleared ranch land.

Shoreline: Mainly forested right up to the shore with many live trees growing in the water. On the north and south sides there is some overhanging brush, while on the east there are patches of floating moss around the shore.

Nearby Lakes

Starlike Lake: A small lake located just south of the village of Horsefly off the Black Creek Road. Starlike contains rainbows that will reach up to four pounds or better. Flies, spinners and trolling gear do well here. There is a resort on the lake, and accommodations and services are also available at nearby Horsefly.

Note: Always check your current BC Fishing regulations before you start fishing a new lake.
