Location: Premier Lake is located northeast of Skookumchuk on Highway 93/95 via 8 km (5 mi) of gravel road.

Resorts & Campsites: 56 RV and tenting campsites are offered at Premier Lake Provincial Park. 40 wilderness walk-in campsites are also available. Boat launching, swimming and hiking trails.

Fishing Report: This popular lake is stocked with rainbow trout reaching sizes of 2 kg (4 lb) and brook trout are resident. These rainbows are the main source of broodstock for Kootenay hatcheries.

Fly fishing methods such as Chironomid, halfback, fullback, Doc Spratleys and shrimp patterns all produce good results.
