Location:
From the city of Kelowna, travel
east on Hwy. #33. Turn east off Hwy. #33 at Trapping Creek (just
south of the Arlington Lakes exit). Follow
this road for approximately 14 km. (8.7 mi.). Turn right onto the
Lassie Lake Road and follow for 2 km. (1.3 mi.) Turn east onto the
State access road and keeping left travel for 10 km. (6.2 mi.) passing
the Sandrift Lakes. State Lake Road BCFS campsite can be found just
beyond the Sandrift Lakes and marks the trail head for a final 2
km. (1.2 mi.) hike into State Lake. The road to State may be very
rough depending on weather conditions.

State Lake Road BCFS campsite can be found at the trail head of
State Lake. This is a small, well treed site. At the lake itself,
another small BCFS campsite can also be found.

Fishing
Report: State is managed as a quality fly fishing only
lake which provides anglers with a fine Rainbow fishery for trout
up to 2+ lbs. Strap on your belly boat, this lake is well worth

Sandrift
Lake - Sandrift Lakes are located a few kilometers
to the west of State Lake. These 3 small lakes all contain Rainbow
trout which will sometimes reach a large size. BCFS campsites
can be found on 2 of these lakes.

fishing a new lake.
