Activities
(Summer and Winter):
For information on canoeing, backpacking trails, horseback riding, fishing
and hunting, the Chamber of Commerce has the answers. If your plans
include a winter holiday, the Cariboo region features remote mountain
high snowmobiling, excellent snow conditions for cross country and down
hill skiing, and a great number of lakes where you can enjoy ice fishing.
The folks at the Chamber of Commerce have the information as to when
its best to enjoy these activities, where to go to take full advantage
of your favorite outdoor pass time and directions to get you to your
destination. A Cariboo vacation plan made easy is when you have all
the needed information, and it's all available with a call or visit
to the Williams Lake Chamber of Commerce and Visitors Info Centre on
South Broadway.
Location:
The Visitors Info Centre and Chamber of Commerce office are at 1148
S Broadway just off Highway 97, close to the junction of Highway 97
and Highway 20. They are open year round, where a warm and friendly
howdy and welcome awaits you. You may even see Williams Lake Willie,
the city's cowboy mascot.
