Welcome
to Wells Gray Adventures. We offer remote lodges with guided hiking, skiing, snow shoeing and canoe trips in beautiful Wells Gray Provincial Park, British Columbia, Canada. We feel that spending time away from
the distractions of the modern world is the only chance most of us
get to truly relax and reflect on our lives.
Wells Gray Provincial Park
in British Columbia, Canada encompasses 1.4 million acres (540,00
hectares) of lush flower meadows, beautiful peaks, pristine lakes
and wild BC rivers. Its size and geography make Wells Gray Park one of the
premier wilderness destinations in Canada. Join
us as we go hut to hut hiking or skiing at our three remote lodges
in the alpine of Wells Gray Park. How about a spectacular canoeing
adventure on the pristine Clearwater and Azure Lakes? You can choose
from 1 to 14 day guided trips for individuals, groups, kids, families and
women
We do not rush
through our trips to get to camp or hut. We try to savor the days
spent out of doors and will have comfortable lunches and time for
photos and flowers.
 Enjoy
our guided hiking and canoe trips based out of our hut system in the alpine
of Wells Gray Provincial Park. These buildings allow ecologically sound access
to BC's sensitive high country. You have transport to the trailhead,
great food, backcountry accommodation in our comfortable chalets,
and expert guides who will share their extensive knowledge of Wells Gray Park and of the plants and animals that reside there. We work
hard to ensure that these trips remain among the best backcountry
experiences you will ever have!
Cant decide wither to hike
or bike? Try a little of each! Well load up the canoes and
paddle to a lovely beach camp and go fishing, hiking and swimming.
The camp is gorgeous and the food is great; what more can you ask
for? Then after touring the famous waterfalls, we head
for the lovely dinner waiting at our bed and breakfast accommodations.
The next morning, we hike into the high country at our secluded
mountain hut.
For women that
are looking for a complete escape into the incredible BC wilderness
but only have a week end, you can hike into the Trophy Mountain
Chalet, spend two nights accommodations at the chalets and your days hiking the
high peaks, swimming in the cold mountain lakes and restoring your
energy and piece of mind with a group of like-minded women.
In
winter we have the Wells Gray Ski Traverse. This trip is a must
for serious ski-adventurers. Spectacular runs covered in the most
reliable powder snow in the province - Cariboo Mountain Powder!
The traverse is a six or seven day trip depending on whether you
ski at two or all three huts. This is an exceptional trip and is
recommended for intermediate or better skiers with good physical
fitness. The price includes accommodations, food, professional guiding,
and safety equipment
We also offer
a Avalanche Beginners Awareness Course -- an introductory Course
as designed by the Canadian Avalanche Association. A three-day course
for anyone who wants to become more familiar with winter backcountry
travel. These courses offer an introduction to avalanche phenomena,
terrain evaluation, route finding, slope stability, snow pit evaluation
and effective search and rescue techniques. Great as an introduction
or as a review before the winter season.
