The Only Camping Spot on Dragon Lake
The setting is quiet, peaceful and inviting, Robert's Roost RV Park, on the shores of Dragon Lake, near Quesnel, British Columbia, offers campers just the right blend to make your stay unforgettable. The camping facilities, the grounds and the lake will add fun and pleasure to any vacation. The owners, Vivian and Bob Wurm, keep adding new facilities and expanding each year. For your enjoyment, some of the campsites are located on the lake shore and most have full hook-ups. There are also excellent sites with no services for tenting and self-contained units. The super clean restrooms feature hot coin showers. A laundry room and sani-dump are available.

A Rural Setting Close to the City
Robert's Roost RV Park, gives you a feeling of being away from it all, with Dragon Lake at your door step, Dragon Mountain as a back drop and water fowl wandering around. Adding to what nature has provided are beautiful flower gardens, lush green lawns and winding pathways, that invite you to stroll along as you make your way down to the lake, or to your camp site. A special added attraction at Robert's Roost is the "Heart Garden," the perfect place to just relax and enjoy and to make good use of your camera. This is an ideal spot for weddings, family reunions or a get-together with friends. Robert's Roost RV Park is only 2 km (1.24 mi.) off BC Highway 97, the setting is rural, but you are only minutes from city living with the busy and bustling city of Quesnel only 8 km (5 mi.) away.

Accommodation
To go along with the RV park and tent sites, Robert's Roost has park model trailers that offer all the comforts and needed facilities. These rental units can accommodate from two to five people.

Recreation
Boating on Dragon Lake is always fun and available, there are rentals or you can launch your own from their wharf. Sailing is also a popular summer pastime on the lake. Fishing is good anytime and Dragon Lake is famous for the large rainbow trout it produces. Play a game of horseshoes, use the volleyball court, play a game of ball, throw a frisbee as there's plenty of room. Lounge around by the water or take it easy in the shade. There's a children's playground with swings and room for them to run around.

Facts About the Quesnel Area

  • "Wood Products" are the main industries in Quesnel and tours are available.
  • There are two golf courses and a swimming pool recreation complex near by.
  • Quesnel has the distinction of being the "Gold Pan City" and is the gateway to historic Barkerville, the restored 1860's gold rush town.
  • The Bowron Lake chain for wilderness canoeing is only 112 km (70 mi.)
  • Hike the famous Alexander Mackenzie Heritage Trail/ Nuxalk-Carrier Grease Trail (the trail head is west of Quesnel on the Blackwater River).
