From
our home port at New Westminster, just a short hop from downtown
Vancouver, the crew at Paddlewheeler
Riverboat Tours welcomes you on
board the MV Native. All functions on board the
M.V. Native are truly spectacular, and this authentic paddlewheeler
is modeled after the ships that used to travel coastal British
Columbia, and inland waterways, some one hundred years ago.
At
Paddlewheeler Riverboat Tours, you can enjoy sightseeing
client appreciation cruises, business meetings
and staff parties
weddings and anniversaries
or just spend a relaxing evening out with friends or
family. The MV Native, a beautifully finished paddlewheeler,
will make a lasting impression on you no matter what the function.
Paddlewheeler Riverboat Tours has special functions
available during the year including Mothers Day and
Fathers Day cruises
dine and dance cruises
wedding celebrations
and Vancouver's spectacular
Celebration of Lights in English Bay. Other regular scheduled
cruises during the year include:
Fraser River Discovery Tour:
Enjoy a buffet lunch while an ever-changing view of BC's working
river, the Fraser River, unfolds before you. Your voyage will
take you from Canada's second largest port, up river to Douglas
Island as well as the mouth of the Pitt River. Every seat
is a "window" seat and tables are arranged for great
viewing of the mighty Fraser River, BC wildlife, and the remains
of an old Paddlewheeler.
Historic Fort Langley Cruise:
Journey back in time, on the Fraser River's only authentic
paddlewheeler riverboat, where the lush Coast Mountain Range
will provide a breathtaking canvas. A unique view of Barnston
Island and the Golden Ears Peaks are only a few of the highlights
on your way. A stop at "The Fort" will also provide
you with the opportunity to browse the antique shops before
your relaxing return voyage to New Westminster.
Pitt Lake Natural Wilderness Cruise:
Serenity is the word that describes this tour from Paddlewheeler
Riverboat Tours, into the wilderness of Pitt Lake, an area
that is still wilderness -- and home to bears and cougars.
We'll emerge into the quiet tranquility and panoramic beauty
of a majestic fjord, which is one of the largest of its kind.
Grassy, reverse deltas appear daily in the center of the lake
as the tide recedes, and as we travel along the cliffside
we'll also observe the one hundred year old Indian pictographs.
Harrison Hot Springs Gold Rush Trail:
Travel the route that 1000's of gold miners took in 1858
a time in our history when there were more sternwheelers on
the Fraser River than there was on the Mississippi. This journey
will consist of three legs, and all cruises will have expert
commentators on board to give you a feel of the life and times
that the adventurers of 1858 went through. Each leg of the
journey will provide you with a different experience and view
of BC's Metro Vancouver area.
