 We
invite you to take a nautical cruise to British Columbia's most
remote and spectacular wilderness locations. Experience, the incredible
West Coast while enjoying the luxury accommodations and gourmet
cuisine on board Great Bear II. Enjoy unparalleled wildlife viewing,
whale watching and bear watching. Experience Haida Gwaii with
it's First Nations culture, Haida art and ancient totem poles.
Walk beneath rainforest canopies of cedar, spruce and hemlock,
and along the velvety green estuaries of the Great Bear Rainforest.
Relaxing in the pristine natural hot springs on the polished granite
shore of our anchorage, you may hear the blow of a Humpback whales
as it surfaces, the distant howl of a wolf, or the serenade of
songbirds above you.
If a little less wilderness and a bit slower pace is what you're
looking for, our Captain and crew know just the spots to take
you. Go beachcombing on white sandy beaches edged in turquoise
waters, enjoy a picnic lunch, and later on watch the sun set over
the Pacific Ocean while you enjoy a glass of wine and appetizers.
 Late
spring finds us bear watching as we winding our way up the coast
to the Magnificent Inlets of the Grizzly Bears and exploring
the ancient rainforest and awesome estuaries that are home to
these amazing Grizzly Bears. It is on these lush green estuaries,
framed in snow-capped mountains and polished granite, that we
have often witnessed the tenderness of a mother Grizzly with her
bear cubs.
Long summer days are spent in Haida Gwaii - the Queen Charlotte Islands, in Gwaii Haanas National Park Reserve, enjoying the
awesome biodiversity of the islands and speaking with the Haida
Watchmen about their amazing First Nations culture and art.
Summer is also a great time to plan your Custom Trip anywhere
on British Columbia's West Coast. A trip for your family, for
a group of photographers or film makers, a group of artists, or
a very romantic getaway are just some of the groups that book
our custom charters.
When the ship is in her homeport of Vancouver BC, she will be
available for cruises as short as a couple of hours or for as
long as a week. Cruise Vancouver's harbour and waterfronts, the
tranquility of Indian Arm, or explore Howe Sound and Bowen Island.
A little further out of the city you can spend a few days exploring
the Gulf Islands, Princess Louisa Inlet or Desolation Sound.
 Fall
finds us back on British Columbia's north coast to witness Humpback
Whales and the abundance of Mother Nature. Join us for our 5-day
Whale Watching departure, as we witness the awesome displays
of Humpback Whales behaviors and help local biologists with their
studies of these amazing cetaceans.
Islands of the Spirit Bear, Waters of the Humpback Whales
offers unparalleled wildlife viewing opportunities as the Black
bears, Spirit Bears, and other animals come to the streams to
feed on the returning Pacific salmon. Spectacular scenery and
