We regret that we cannot discount accommodation packages for children 12 years of age or older. This area is not a playground. Parents must remember that Fortress Lake is a rugged and remote wilderness area, with no rapid access to medical attention. Our staff also have many daily tasks, and cannot be held responsible for your children's safety. Therefore, we expect that the parents of children visiting the camp will carefully supervise the actions and activities of their children on a full time basis while visiting Fortress Lake Wilderness Retreat.

AIRFARE
The round trip scenic flight between Golden, BC and Fortress Lake is normally taken in our world renowned DeHavilland Beaver Floatplane. This spectacular flight along the spine of the Canadian Rockies takes approximately one hour in each direction. We regret we are not able to offer children or groups a discount on the cost of these flights.

FLOATPLANE AIRFARE
Round Trip Per Person: $375.00 plus GST

Aircraft departures from Golden normally take place between 6:30am and 1:00pm Mountain Time. Departing Fortress Lake you will normally return to Golden between 10:30am and 4:00pm. Please call our office the day before you are scheduled to arrive at Fortress Lake, to confirm the actual departure time of your particular flight.

GROUPS
Groups of 10 to 12 adults may receive a 10% discount on the accommodation for each angling member of the group, OR the group organizer can elect to receive a complimentary accommodation package. Airfare is not discounted. Please note that we expect to have contact and deal with only one member of each group at all times, and that we will honour your choice of discount only IF we receive just a single deposit payment covering the entire group AND this is followed by just one final payment covering the whole group.

NON-ANGLING GUESTS
Non-anglers will receive a 10% discount on our accommodation rates IF they are not using the powerboats. Please note that anglers not using the boats will still be charged our normal camp rates, to recognize their higher impact on the natural resources of the area.

SPECIAL PROGRAMS GROUP RETREATS:

We depart Golden BC in the morning by DeHavilland Beaver float equipped aircraft. After take-off you can sit back and enjoy the guided tour provided by your pilot, an experienced local mountaineer, while the hour-long scenic flight proceeds along the stunningly beautiful Continental Divide region of the Canadian Rockies. We touch down at Fortress Lake in time for a hearty camp lunch, and a pleasant guided afternoon nature walk.
