Echo Lake Fishing Resort, British Columbia

Echo Lake Fishing Resort is set amongst pristine old growth timber, with wildlife in abundance, on the north shore of Echo Lake in Echo Lake Provincial Park. Our wilderness experience is only a short drive from the City of Vernon, gateway to the North Okanagan in British Columbia, Canada.

We have seven non-smoking lakeside housekeeping cabins of various sizes set amongst the tall timbers, each with its own wharf. For those who like to camp we have 35 sites, many shaded by the old growth timber, some situated along Echo Lake, and all with a picnic table and firepit. For your enjoyment and recreational fun we have fishing boats (3hp), canoes, row and pedal boats for rent.

Our family oriented vacation spot, in the Okanagan, has a "no pet" policy for the benefit of our guests. Guests from around the world have been coming here since 1945 to enjoy the peace and quiet of the area, the fishing, and abundant wildlife. We are family oriented with a playground & swimming platform for all to enjoy. We also have a convenience store with the basic grocery needs, fishing gear & licenses and souvenirs.

The lake is 4km long & 1km wide at its widest point, with depths from 100 to 230 feet in the center. It is fed by 55 springs, has no inlet or outlet, and is excellent for all types of fishing. Each year the lake is stocked with 20,000 fish -- 5000 Gerrard Rainbows, 5000 Black Water Rainbows & 10000 Penask Lake Rainbows, and features weed beds, drop offs and structures.
