Raft Company has shown whitewater rafting enthusiasts from around
the world the spectacular beauty of the Revelstoke area -- and Mount
Revelstoke National Park -- in the Rocky Mountains region of Western
Canada. It's a remarkable experience you, and your family and friends,
will remember for many years as you go drifting down the wild and
scenic Illecillewaet River.
Apex
Raft Company will take you whitewater rafting down 22 kilometer's
of BC's Illecillewaet River. This is a fantastic river that's not
all whitewater … but there's plenty to get you good and wet.
The British Columbia whitewater you'll encounter on this trip is
an intermediate level of class 2 to 3+. As you raft down the Illecillewaet
River the tranquil stretches in between the rapids offer a chance
to visit with your fellow rafters and to appreciate the spectacular
natural setting of your adventure.
 For
much of your trip with Apex Raft Company you will drift alongside
one of Canada's great national parks … Mount Revelstoke National
Park. Mt. Revelstoke National Park is famous for its huge cedar
and hemlock groves … and its vast array of wild flowers. At
one point on your exhilarating rafting trip the Albert Peaks will
tower above the rafts at an altitude of over 10,000 feet …
higher above you than the Grand Canyon over the Colorado River.
The
following trip times are available with Apex Raft Company:
- June.
1 trip daily at 19am
- July
1st to August 20th. 2 trips daily at 9am and 1pm
- August
21st to Labour Day. 1 trip daily at 10am
 The
Revelstoke and Mt. Revelstoke National Park area, in the Rockies
region of British Columbia, is home to a variety of animals that
frequent the forest area of the river valley. Although they can't
really guarantee you'll see any of the larger animals that live
here, it's definitely a possibility. On your trip keep an eye out
for black bear, moose, elk, deer, coyote, beaver, red-tailed hawk,
bald eagle and many smaller animals and waterfowl.

Raft Company is located at the historic Regent Inn in downtown Revelstoke,
1 block east of the Grizzly Plaza Visitor Information Center, at
112 East First Street.
